Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-23

The service

Recall Lot Check provides a free tool to compare codes printed on product packaging against a curated database of publicly announced recalls, plus paid features (a one-time Home Safety Report and, when launched, a Recall Watchlist subscription).

Acceptable use

Use the site for personal, non-commercial safety checks. Don't scrape the site, overload the API, or misrepresent the information provided here as an official government determination.

Paid features

The Home Safety Report is a $9 one-time purchase that unlocks the feature on the device used at checkout. Payments are processed by PayPal; a purchase is complete only after server-side verification. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us for a refund. Waitlist signups are free and create no obligation on either side.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Recall data may be incomplete, outdated or contain transcription errors; the linked official notices are authoritative. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of, or reliance on, this service. See the Disclaimer.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
